IELTS LIFE SKILLS

The IELTS Life Skills test measures the speaking and listening skills of non-native English speakers that are required to demonstrate English proficiency for an immigrant or citizen. There are two test levels: A1 and B1. Basic communication comes from A1, while more complex information comes through B1. Speaking and listening are two parts of the test.

Test Format

Face-to-face speaking tests assess candidates and their ability to speak English in different situations. The test is administered by an experienced IELTS examiner and lasts 15 minutes. Ask candidates about a variety of topics, including career, family, home, hobbies, and general interests. We also ask for your opinion on many topics. Candidates’ ability will be assessed, including vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. The 30-minute listening test assesses the applicant’s language skills in English in a variety of real-world situations. The exam is divided into four sections, each of which becomes more difficult as it progresses.

How to prepare?

It is important to practice speaking and listening in English before taking the IELTS Life Skills test. Talking to native speakers, watching English movies and TV shows, and listening to English music and podcasts are some ways to achieve this. It may also be a good idea to take practice tests and study sample questions to familiarize yourself with the test format.
